It is one of the most widespread sharks in the world and spends most of its life in the open ocean, far from the coast. It is an excellent swimmer capable of covering enormous distances in search of food. It hunts mainly fish and cephalopods, often at night. Thanks to its hydrodynamic body, it is a fast and highly efficient predator, yet it moves calmly and gracefully through the water.
